Pathway, Grand Mosque, Muscat Photograph by Basel Almisshal

73.41 x 76.2cm (unframed)

£702.09

A sequence of pointed arches recedes through the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat, each frame of carved sandstone opening onto the next until the corridor dissolves into light. I composed the photograph on the central axis, where the geometry aligns and the building reveals its deepest quality: rhythm.

Islamic architecture runs through my work as a lifelong study, from geometric ornament to sacred space. This image belongs to my mosque series, photographs that read these buildings the way their makers designed them to be read, as ordered light, proportion and stillness.

This is a museum-quality giclee print on archival fine art paper, made from the original high-resolution file, signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Each print is produced to exhibition standard and shipped rolled in a protective tube.

Materials used:

Archival pigment print (giclee) on museum-grade fine art paper
