Original artwork description:

In Passers-by in the Memory of the Night, the human figure is not represented, but recovered through successive layers of absence. The silhouettes appear as luminous echoes, detached from an eroded background, in which time seems to have left visible traces. The painting does not describe, but suggests: suspended gestures, fragile transitions, identities between appearance and disappearance.

Color becomes a narrative force. The cool tones build an atmosphere of inner nocturnality, and the warm accents open a dialogue with memory — that memory that does not preserve contours, but vibrations. Through optical erosion and gestural interventions, the artist creates a scene in which the viewer is invited to complete what is not seen, but felt.

The work explores the space between the visible and the invisible, between what remains and what passes. It is a visual meditation on human presence as an ephemeral phenomenon, captured not in forms, but in the imprints it leaves in the silence of the night.
