Original artwork description
This restful oil painting explores the shifting light, drifting between abstract and figurative. The rolling mist brings elements of the landscape in and out of view, creating a moody and mysterious atmosphere. This changing light allows the viewer to explore memory and experience, creating a moment of reflection and peace.
Oil paint has been applied in several layers to create this landscape, reflected in the still water. Blues, pinks and warm greys blend and shift over the dark land, and the mists are parting to reveal the remaining light in the sky.
Painted with Michael Harding Professional Artists oil colour, on a stretched cotton canvas. The sides are left a clean white (please see additional photograph). This artwork is signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
