The work "parrot-house" belongs to the Periphery series, the artworks about small towns, in one of which I was born. Shakhunya, a formerly developing city that arose around a carriage depot and a stitching factory, has been transforming for many years along with global changes in the country. The city is filled with diverse, eclectic architecture, which including parrot-house, as residents call it. In the picture, the parrot-house is on the right, the boiler room and wooden garages are visible in the center. Early spring has come and the snow is reluctantly melting, slowly mixing with the soot from the boiler room pipes and the ground below, where the small figure of a child in a bright jacket stopped for a moment near the heating pipe.

The artwork is made on a piece of plywood and ready to hang. All necessary papers including the Certificate of Authenticity are added to the parcel.

Materials used:

Tempera, plywood
