These beaches and dunes are magnificent, but I nearly got blown away painting them!
They are a short walk from Playa Blanca on the south coast of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, Spain
Despite the volcanic nature of the island, Papagayos beaches are a fine orange sandand frequented by tourists and locals alike.
The watercolour was painted on site with top quality non fade pigments on heavyweight rag watercolour paper.
