Palimpsest of tension (2026) Original Oil Painting by Svitlana Andriichenko

This canvas is perceived as a palimpsest - a surface on which states and emotions have been repeatedly rewritten. Bright pink dominates, but not as a background, but as an energy that breaks through the dark, heavy masses of black and gray. The layers of paint seem to erase each other, leaving fragments of previous gestures, traces of doubt, impulse and resistance. Light splashes create a sense of fragile balance - moments when chaos almost becomes orderly, but then falls apart again. The painting speaks of the tension of the internal process - the struggle between destruction and preservation, between silence and scream.
