In this painting I wanted to create a countryside that feels peaceful, colourful and timeless. The winding road leads through rolling hills dotted with cottages, blossom trees and brightly coloured fields beneath soft pink clouds. In the foreground an artist quietly paints the landscape, celebrating the joy of creating.
Although the scene is imaginary, I wanted it to feel comfortingly familiar, like a place remembered from childhood or discovered in a favourite story. The sheep, stone walls and distant mountains all help create a calm atmosphere, while the rich colours express my love of painting the world a little brighter than everyday life.
