Small Malaysian town somewhere in Selangor - I get off the bus and -as usual in my case- before I even find any city centre or whatever official attraction I find myself on the outskirts of the place, making my way through back alleys and wastelands. This is where my inspiration lays and this is where I find what I'm looking for. Century old wooden villas, half falling apart, taken over by wild growth - it's very Asian thing, nature claims back everything at first chance. You can see a rundown suburb but if you come with no prejudice, what you find is a wonderful serene place bathed in nature.
Big size charcoal on paper, secured with archival resin fixative. the sheet is 100x70cm, 3cm margins all around to facilitate framing. Ships securely packed in an acid-free tube
