In Out of Contest, I explore how these patterns, rooted in centuries of tradition, can be reinterpreted and transformed in a contemporary painting context. The works in this series capture the essence of tiling’s rich, vibrant colors and geometric intricacies, while also incorporating the soft fluidity and organic textures of Persian carpets. These paintings move away from the literal representation of these forms and instead focus on their underlying principles: repetition, symmetry, and the endless possibilities of variation within structure. In doing so, I aim to present Persian design as not merely an ornamental tradition, but a dynamic, living art form that can be reshaped, expanded, and viewed through a modern lens.

This painting will be carefully packed and shipped to ensure its protection from any damage during transit.
The edges of the canvas are extra deep between 5cm to 10cm
It will be sent rolled in a tube.
