It is a natural process that as we walk through life, we make mistakes, errors and wrong actions, whether we like it or not. This is how we accumulate "sins" and carry them with us. Some more, some less. Some manage to gradually get rid of the old ones and take on fewer new ones, others do not, and more are still being added.
This painting is a symbolic expression of these processes that apply to each of us. A challenge to become more aware and start cleansing processes within ourselves.
We do not have to wait for the final judgment, we can do a lot today, here on earth, in our ongoing lives...
