Original artwork description:

Here I was trying to capture the dappled light shining through the Spring foliage of the trees. The different values send the eye roaming around the composition and come to rest in the field beyond. It is special because it was a first return to Orleans House where my school art teacher, Francis West, once had an exhibition. He had been an inspiring teacher at school.
