86cm x 67cm x 2cm Original abstract painting on framed wooden panel
In this painting I wanted to create a field of pure colour built up in layers of varying tonal intensity with subtle gradations giving way to warm accents, creating an optical rhythm across the visual field of the work. I was interested in exploring ideas of permutation and sequence in this piece and the relationship between individual elements within a series.
