Original artwork description:

2nd one in the mathematics series.
Derivation of orbital time of planet.
Acrylic on canvas 16x12 inches

The cunieform tablets of the Babylonians recorded mathematical formulae and calculations.
Japanese characters were often used as art forms in themselves.
Combining these 2 ideas inspired me to paint modern mathematical formulae and derivations onto a tablet painting.
Mathematics is the universal language of the Universe, and the characters used by mathematics have the aura of magical spells and incantations.

Combining Newton's law of gravitation and the formula centripetal force.
Interesting that the final formula does not contain the mass m of the planet .
So any object at our distance from the Sun would orbit in 365 days.
