Original artwork description:

In Open your Heart, Luis López reveals a surreal and philosophical vision of vulnerability. A man dressed in a black suit pulls apart his chest, unveilling not flesh or emotion, but a velvet curtain slightly parted - just enough to let a monstrous presence peek through. From the darkness within, clawed, hairy hands emerge cautiously, suggesting the hidden existence of a creature deep inside. The image invites reflection on what we bury beneath layers of control and appearances. López seems to ask: What lives behind the façade we present to the world? The monster is not fully seen, nor fully unleashed - it merely peeks out, as if unsure whether it´s allowed to exist. Perhaps our true self is not a soul of light, but a creature of shadow: untamed, uncomfortable, yet profoundly human. To open one´s heart, then, is not only an act of love- it is an act of radical honesty with the darkness we carry within.
