Sometimes, unexpcted things happen, things we can't foresee!
This is a handprinted linocut, I cut the linoleum with sharp knives, it is a bit like sculpting the plate, and direction of cut, thickness of the cut etc all play a vital role in how the image will look when printed. I then roll up the lino plate with navy blue ink and print it onto a crisp white heavy weight piece of printmaking paper.
Once dry I sign and number the print, "oops" are printed in a limited second edition of only 30 prints.

The piece of paper measures 16" x 20" (40 cm x 50cm )
and the actual printed image measures 14" x 14" (36 cm x 35 cm )
