One Little Spider (2011)Linocut

One little spider,
at break of day,
spins a fine web
to catch her pray.

This limited edition linocut was originally intended to be part of a series of illustrations for verses I wrote for my daughter. I only completed four linocuts in this series and will not be making any more.

The verses, along with non-lino illustrations have now been turned into a book called 'In the Garden', which is published and selling through Amazon.

This is the first time I am offering these original limited linocuts for sale. They are intended for a children's room, nursery, etc.

This work is a multi-layer reduction linoleum print, hand-carved from a single piece of printmaking linoleum, and hand printed in several stages, on a manually operated etching press.

As a result of the process through which it's made minor variations are possible. Colours may also vary slightly, depending on the software you are using to view the image.

Each print bears its number within the edition and the artist’s signature.
