Contemporary ceramic sculpture. Covered with glazes. Electric high-fired at 1065 C degrees.

This sculpture began with a piece of driftwood — a small, wave-shaped fragment that looked like a boat. It captured my imagination, and I wanted to give it a home within a piece of art, to create a world where it could set sail.
So this little dreamer was born — holding a boat made of driftwood, with a sail marked by a sun and spiral, symbols of light and the inner compass.
The open sea is full of possibilities — we only need the courage to depart. When we stay true to our dreams, we steer our own boat.
