On Golden Pond Original Watercolour by Michele Wallington

This is a large watercolour painting of a pond near where I live in Oxfordshire. It is somewhere that has inspired me to paint in watercolour several times, it was a challenge, but I wanted to capture the reflections, the trees and the complex textures in the water and hope that I have achieved it with my own interpretation in ink and watercolour. There is also a small greenfinch (bird) in the painting, see if you can spot it! The photograph may not show the true colours well, so the smaller close ups that are done on a 400 dpi scanner will give a better idea, and they include green-gold, gold ochre and brown madder (deep red). Painting is done on high quality Saunders Waterford paper with a deckle edge.
This painting comes mounted in a warm white mountboard and framed in a narrow wooden frame. The glass may well be replaced with a polycarbonate substitute if posted for safety reasons.
