This watercolor was inspired by my fascination with the Mediterranean landscape and the ancient olive trees that have endured centuries of sun, wind and changing seasons. For me, the tree in the foreground represents strength, endurance and the deep connection between nature and human life.

With this painting, I wanted to bring together the character and age of the olive tree with the calmness of the sea and distant mountains. The contrast between the powerful, dark tree and the light of the sky, water and landscape creates a warm Mediterranean atmosphere.

Watercolor allows me to preserve the transparency and natural light of the landscape while keeping a sense of spontaneity in the brushwork. I paid particular attention to the structure and character of the old tree, as it forms the heart of the composition.
