I stumbled upon this beautiful old house in L'Esterel (near Cannes) by chance. Naturally, I was drawn to its picturesqueness. Using the play of light and shadow, I tried to convey the wonderful nostalgia of that time. I also tried to capture the atmosphere of the French Riviera. I used the texture of oil paints, which imitates reality. The painting is painted on fiberboard , MDF , a very reliable and convenient technique.
