Out in the open ocean; boundless space, vast turquoise infinity; skies reflecting in the water, waves intertwined with clouds, light encompassing and permeating everywhere.
And than you dive; and more of it opens; diffused all-pervasive light and that deepening feeling of boundlessness taking you over and bring you beyond yourself.
This is the experience I tried to evoke with this image. Rather than attempting a literal seascape I chose to overlap and overlay a number of moments and perspectives - creating this semi-abstract composition that best evokes the spacious feeling of liberation that brought it about.
The painting's in oil on textured wooden board. Edges finished in black so can be hanged with or without a frame according to your specific ambience and prefferences.
