Painted on-site at the MN Landscape Arboretum with both palette knife and brush. Features an Oak Tree at its peak moment of autumn color, against a deepening evening light which enhances the colorful glow of its leaves. The tree rests on high ground, with a thinner oak to its right, and shrubs below it. Watery effects in the background grass and sky were created with casein paint and glazed with oil. The texture of the foliage is enhanced by thick oil paint applied with palette knife, and incorporates florescent paint in pink and peach, and iridescent paint in maroon and bronze.
The sides of the stretched canvas are painted, and it is ready to hang. The shallow stretcher bars would also fit into any type of frame if a frame is desired.

Materials used:

oil paint, casein paint, florescent oil paint, iridescent oil paint, canvas
