This painting was inspired by a visit to The Yorkshire Dales last winter. It is beautiful and unspoilt countryside. Here it is late afternoon as the light is beginning to fade. I wanted to convey the bleak beauty of this wild countryside especially off season, in the winter. The feeling of getting home before the night sets in, getting off the moors and out of extreme weather.
The medium I have used is oil paint on prepared board.
Framed and ready to hang on the wall.
