I met Corinne Maier last year, when I came across her cynical book "No Kid: 40 reasons not to have children". I already had, on my side, many reasons not to have any. The most important of them: the children can't stand me. It's like that. A child, basic, it leaves me indifferent at best, at worst it annoys me. And what annoys me more than children? The thoughts people give me about not wanting children. "You're young, you'll see later, you'll want some!", "You haven't found the right companion", "You'll regret it!". No. No. No. And again no. I am 34 years old and I have not wanted to breed for 34 years. I have a certain doubt that this will change one day (it even tends to increase). My companion is very well, thank you, since he also does not support children. It's also one of the first things I said to him at the start of our relationship: "I'm warning you, I don't want a child". I am therefore proudly part of the "childfree" movement, which brings together people who do not have children by choice and I dream every night of tubal ligation.
This painting therefore pays homage to the childfree, since the woman is made up solely of methods of contraception: female and male condoms, sterilization, hormonal and copper IUDs, diaphragm, birth control pill...
The canvas is varnished and equipped with a hanging system.
