“Winged Victory of Samothrace” - a gouache painting inspired by one of the most iconic masterpieces of ancient art.

This artwork measures 19.7 x 20 cm, capturing the ethereal beauty and grace of the famous Nike of Samothrace statue. The piece embodies the timeless allure that has captivated artists for centuries with its perfect proportions and fluid forms.

The connection to this majestic subject dates back 12 years, ever since my first encounter with the original masterpiece at the Louvre in France.
