This was inspired by a gothic looking public house near to where I live, so I pass this building regularly. In this painting I portray it completely illuminated and in an empty street where although no person is visible, they could spill out of the building at any moment. I like the filmic look of the image, the and the sense that something might just be about to happen. It's lit like a film set.
