Title: NIGHTCALL
Size: 120 x 240 cm | 47.2 x 94.5 in
Sides: not painted but with traces of paint of the painting process
Frame: unframed but ready to hang, further framing (e.g. a float frame) is possible
Signature: front (right piece) and verso, also signed Certificate of Authenticity
Medium: acrylic / mixed media on self-stretched canvas
Varnish: silky finish
Other: This triptych comes from a phase of work in violet and an overall rather muted, slightly mysterious color scheme. There is something about these three that draws you into them, something hypnotic, you really get lost into them. In combination with the "nocturnal" colors, I decided to title it "NIGHTCALL" after a song by French DJ Kavinski, which I find to be as hypnotic and immersive to listen to as these images are to look at. It reminds me of my youth, driving without going anywhere but just to drive, listen to the music, be alone, think. Some of probably know...
