Hi,
This is a work in a New Forest series that I'll be bringing out fully early next year.
The scene is from an early autumn morning near Brockenhurst in Hampshire. I usually prefer scenes that are back lit but here I've looked at it with the sun behind the canvas. Initally, I painted it in the open air but since the bad weather I've finished it in the studio from photos and sketches.

The hard part is working out how to depict the myriad of leaves and twigs without painting each individual piece. I hope you like it.
