This is an original painting of a female figure, combining elements of symbolism, abstraction and realism. The imagery in the painting is loosely based on the Egyptian godess Nephthys. Nephthys was seen as protective force and companion for spirits navigating the different levels of the afterlife, and is associated with death, the night and the moon.
The sides of the canvas are painted a dark blue grey colour to match the painting.
