Original artwork description
Neoflora Series by Sumit Mehndiratta explores the similarities between the living organisms and the big bang theory. They both are the source of life and existence that we know of. Through acrylic paint, I try to explain the visual aesthetics of explosion of life from a cellular level and the fluid pattern it brings with itself. Drawing inspiration from the microscopic view of organisms, I paint exploding tentacles from the epicentre, the nucleus which also resembles the explosion of the big bang. Using neon colours, I reflect upon the vibrant colours of biological forms and how it flourishes into beautiful living beings.
