While creating this painting, I wanted to condense the emotions of dusk into a field of burning color. The forest stands silently in the distance like a dark silhouette, while the lake receives and stretches the fire of the sky. A white bird glides across the surface, becoming the only breath of lightness in the scene. I hoped it would guide the viewer toward a balance between intensity and calm.
I built the surface with dense, repetitive short strokes, creating a woven-like texture that gives the painting an inner rhythm. Blocks of orange, yellow, and green interlace, producing shimmering reflections on the water. The horizontal composition was intentionally emphasized to stabilize the mood, while the white bird was rendered with a single, decisive stroke to create a clear visual focus.
