Original artwork description
The third work in a new series of oil paintings of human and animal forms containing complex natural landscapes.
The intention is to create symbolic links with the natural world and all of it's inhabitants, whether human beings or animals, in a unified visual language. This translates to our universal need to work in harmony with the world's fragile ecosystem.
After experimenting with several colour schemes for this series, I settled on this mix of blues, greens and subtle shades of reds, which give the works a haunting quality.
