ARTWORK STATEMENT
The Stag is a recurring theme in my work and represent strength, endurance, virility, and agility. The Stag embodies the idea that beauty can come from pain and that through their nobility, they can gain great wisdom and knowledge.
“NATURA FORMA” SERIES STATEMENT
This series of surreal oil paintings explores the embodiment of nature through human and animal forms. These works make full use of negative space and restricted colour schemes to create intriguing and powerful images.
The intention is to create symbolic links with the natural world and it's inhabitants, whether human beings or animals, into a unified visual language.
These paintings are metaphorical images exploring the universal connections of life, within the landscape of the natural world. "Natura Forma" is an ongoing series started in the winter of 2022...
