National Traditions (2022)Oil painting by Tetiana Pchelnykova

50 x 50 x 2cm (unframed)

£481.88

"National Traditions"( Series: Conversations of Objects) is my way of keeping our heritage alive. I truly believe that we cannot build a new world without studying the old one. This painting, created in 2022, focuses on the beautiful ritual of Ukrainian embroidery—a process that has always been about more than just craft; it was a prayer for a "good share."
Through this artwork, I wanted to share the positive energy and pure thoughts that women put into their work for centuries. In my "Conversations of Objects" series, I show how these ornaments speak to us today, offering lessons of strength and continuity. The rich oil textures and symbolic patterns will bring a sense of harmony, ancestral wisdom, and deep cultural pride to your home. It is a piece that honors where we come from while looking bravely toward the future.

Materials used:

oil paints, stretched canvas
