Year: 2026

Naked Truth II continues the exploration of emotional exposure and psychological vulnerability within the Comfort Zone series. The work reflects on the moment when protective illusions dissolve, leaving a person face to face with an unfiltered version of themselves — exposed, fragile, and emotionally unguarded.

The figure is presented fragmentarily and without identity, shifting the focus away from individuality and toward universal emotional experience. The tension of the body, the restrained posture, and the subtle gestures create a sense of internal contraction — an instinctive attempt to preserve balance at the moment when emotional boundaries begin to collapse.

Unlike external vulnerability caused by circumstance, the tension here emerges from honesty itself. Truth becomes not liberation, but confrontation. It strips away emotional protection and leaves behind a raw awareness of self that is both intimate and unsettling.

The palette is built around deep dark tones — black, dark umber, warm brown, burnt sienna — contrasted with muted highlights of ochre, bronze, and skin tones. Light gradually emerges from darkness, emphasizing the physical presence of the figure and intensifying the atmosphere of silence, intimacy, and emotional tension.

Within the Comfort Zone series, Naked Truth II questions the emotional cost of honesty. Can complete truth exist without pain? And is vulnerability an act of strength — or simply the absence of protection?
