Title: Naked Truth

Naked Truth is a work about the moment when protective layers disappear and a person finds themselves in a state of inner exposure they are not always ready for. Truth — whether spoken or heard — can make us feel more vulnerable than any external action. It removes control, leaving only a raw sense of self: fragile, honest, and real.

The figure is shown fragmentarily, without a face, which enhances its universality. The focus is on the body — the tension of the collarbones, the line of the shoulders, the position of the hand. These details create a sense of inner contraction, an attempt to hold oneself together in a moment when boundaries have already been crossed. The plasticity of the body is both soft and tense, like a reaction to sudden honesty.

The color palette is built on deep, dark tones — deep black, dark umber, warm brown, burnt sienna — with warm highlights — golden light, warm ochre, soft bronze, skin tones. Light seems to pull the body out of darkness, emphasizing its physical presence and vulnerability. The contrast enhances the драматичность, creating an intimate, almost enclosed atmosphere.

Within the Comfort Zone series, this work raises a question: can we exist without lies? Or is “harmless” deception what helps us maintain inner balance? Here, truth is not an absolute good, but a test that exposes and transforms us.
