I imagined the myth of Cupid and Psyche liberated from traditional genders, envisioning the Swan as a genderless being, transforming the myth from a chronicle of human passions into a metaphysical metaphor.

Cupid—a creature of universal, almost statuesque beauty—finds in the Swan a companion of spirit rather than a physical lover.

The core idea is that Cupid’s "thunderbolt" does not strike a woman, but a consciousness; and consciousness has no gender.
