This figurative sculpture has been created from one whole 12" vinyl music record of Scottish songs (Andy Stewart - "My Homeland"), and mounted upon a 12 x 12 x 2cm black acrylic block. The liquid-like figure has been created using various heat sources. Fine art practice contrasts with modern materials.
Each figurative, contemporary sculpture from the "REmuse" series is sculpted from one whole 7" or 12" vinyl record, with nothing added and nothing removed from the original material - function becomes form.
