ABOUT THE ARTWORK

In “MY DEAR PRINCESS,” I delve into the realm of naive archetypal imagery, creating a sanctuary from the aggressive modern world. This piece offers an opportunity to dive into the psychological depths of one's own perception, opening new horizons of self-discovery for the viewer.

The work intertwines naivety with mockery, trust with cynicism, chastity with debauchery, strength with kindness. It reflects the courage to be alive and vulnerable in a world where food chains still exist. My characters are nomads in time and space, transitioning from one metaphorical system to another. They are in search of their lost time, assembling themselves from the flow of cultural context, akin to Proust's protagonist. In them, the line between desires of different ages blurs, as naivety and sexuality are freed from the hypertrophied narratives of modernity dictating the boundaries of ethics and aesthetics.

Inspired by a deep exploration of human identity and sexuality, I aim to express the process of self-identification and the search for personal integrity in the conditions of the modern world. Special attention is given to the depiction of the female body, which becomes a place of dialogue between nature and culture, individual and communal.

This painting invites the viewer to reflect on how we perceive ourselves, how we form our identity, and what barriers and limitations we set for ourselves. Decorative elements and naive archetypal images create a world where one can safely and deeply immerse into their inner experiences and feelings.
