Artwork description
This is a study of an alert, beady eyed long-tailed tit. These birds have many name such as Long-tailed Pie, Mumruffin, Bottle Tit, Bum Barrel, Bum Towel, Oven Bird, Hedge Jug and Lollipop, hence the name of the etching. They are a delight when see in gardens or the countryside and in this print I have tried to reproduce that pleasure.
Materials used:
copper plate, black and Prussian blue etching ink, ferric chloride
