A blue-purple acrylic wash was layered over the cotton canvas, followed by a strong blue-purple painted in horizontal lines.
A few days later whilst on antibiotics, “My body felt weird, and I felt the need to scratch on the canvas with at first a nail, and then a metal tool. I had inscribed a short poem that was written in the Swiss Alps, and three times the words “mountains ontop of mountains”, a reference to a double exposure photo that I’d also taken in the Swiss Alps. Finally I finished by drawing large swirl movements with the metal tool.”
