Original artwork description:

Painted on location in the Sonora Desert, and finished in studio. I was thrilled with how the changing light changed the colors of the landscape. Luminous and magical. Vast and quiet.

I was visited by a coyote while I was working on this painting. He was just curious as to what I was doing. Friendly enough fellow, I thought. You can tell from the painting how remote the location was, and it was nice of him to keep me company while I painted.
