This watercolour was made on location near the village of Saint-Mathieu de Tréviers. It showcases two famous landmarks in the Montpelleir area: the 'Pic Saint-Loup' on the ledtand the 'Hortus' which faces it. The former gave its name to a famous wine appelation. The two mountains are seen at sunset in late October. The foreground is occupied by scrubland and vineyards. This watercolour is framed (see photo) and ready to hang.
