Moss Glen Falls in Autumn
Francois de Melogue
2025 | Archival pigment print on professional luster paper | 17x25
Moss Glen Falls hugs the dark crease of the Granville Gulf, held in its own deep shadow. The air carries the sharp scent of wet stone and cold, decaying leaves.
The water does not crash. It braids, sliding in persistent, silken strands over the black shoulders of ancient schist. In the autumn light it resembles spun glass, or smoke drifting downward. Above, a canopy of hammered gold and rusted bronze filters the meager light that reaches the gorge, turning it dense and amber. To stand here in the damp chill is to hear the steady white noise of water and witness a beautiful, indifferent endurance at the edge of the season.
Quality is about longevity. I use a high-resolution Canon R5 Mark II to capture every detail of the Vermont landscape. Each piece is printed in-studio using professional-grade Canon Pro-1100 and Epson P9000 systems with archival pigment inks on natural cotton paper to create a print that will last for generations.
Print only, with a 1/4 inch wide white bordering for convenient matting and (or) framing
