Original artwork description
An abstract oil painting strong on colour inspired by the beautiful light at sunrise. I keep trying to paint with a more muted range of colours but then find myself going back to working with strong, bright colours and textures - they are irresistible. The painting has been painted with thick impasto oil that has been applied, scratched off and reapplied over many layers of paint. Different layers are visible lending depth to the painting.
The box canvas is painted around the edges in a complementary colour. Hooks and picture hanging cord are attached so the canvas is ready for hanging. The painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity attached at the back.
The image of the painting in a home interior is for demonstration purposes only and not to scale. The painting is unframed.
