This painting was inspired from Yosemite National Park. I created the views and sense of the magnificent topography from the valley floor looking across the mountain's, rock formations and waterfalls towards the high desert of eastern California. The harvest moon coming up through the mountains and mist casts a warmth huge across the mountains and forests.
