Mood 7/Orange acrylic painting (2024) Original Acrylic Painting by Ana Saut

This bright, expressive painting was created spontaneously. It features vivid combinations of orange, red, and green shades. The artwork was painted with a large brush and broad strokes using acrylics. I began working on this piece while living in Sri Lanka. The process was impulsive, yet filled with passion and emotion — that is why the painting radiates so much energy.

Acrylic has always been a special medium for me. I am an expert in combining colours and textures, which is why I love working with oil on canvas. But when I create a painting with acrylics, I always manage to achieve miracles in colour and even texture, thanks to multilayered techniques and repeated reworking of the surface.

I completed this artwork in another country, Serbia, and it was later presented at my solo exhibition in Belgrade. You can see a short episode from the exhibition in the video.

The painting has now been removed from the stretcher frame, which makes it easy to transport in a tube. Acrylic is a very durable material, so it is safe to ship the painting rolled. Afterwards, you can take it to a studio to have it stretched onto a new stretcher frame and choose a frame that matches your interior.
