2020, the Spanish government orders a national lockdown due the COVID-19 pandemic. I had just moved to the region of Catalunya and like the rest of country’s residents, I stayed in partial isolation. To break the monotony of life indoors I bought myself a pochade box for plein-air painting. What a blissful moment it was to roll it in my shopping trolley to the nearby park and paint the surrounding vegetation. This scene is captured from a hill in Masquefa, Catalunya. The view is of the famous multi-peaked mountain of Montserrat. What I liked depicting are the tiny cars scattered around the landscape showing the people going about their business.
This painting comes in a 33,5 x 23,5 x 3 cm floating frame.
