I created this painting inspired by an old street in Montignac-Lascaux, where every house seems to preserve the breath of centuries. The expressive timber-framed architecture, red roofs, and ever-changing light captured my imagination. I used bold, textured brushstrokes to convey not only the shapes but also the spirit of this remarkable place. My goal was to show how history continues to live in the stone, wood, and every curve of the street. I wanted the composition to feel alive, as if the town itself were telling its story to everyone who passes by. The contrast of warm and cool colors evokes the unique atmosphere and timeless charm of southern France. This work is my tribute to places where the past and the present come together in a single artistic vision.
