My monochrome paintings reflect a different side of my personality. I have always been keen on black and white photography and the idea that sometimes monochrome is better than colour.
Monochrome 6 is a complex and absorbing painting. The level of detail that can be seen keeps increasing as you approach it. Please have a look at the close up photos and zoom in. It is large enough to make an impression but would also easily fit most walls.
Monochrome 6 is painted with acrylic paint and black ink. Pouring, dripping and gravity were used to get the effects.
It is ready to hang.
Materials used:
Acrylic paint applied by brush, pouring and dripping. Black ink added by pouring. The painting was put on specific angles to get the desired gravitational effects.
